DIY Installation Motorised Curtains
Make your rooms feel intentional curtains in your bay window or automating a large space, motorised curtain tracks offer unparalleled convenience and a sleek aesthetic. Featuring whisper-quiet operation and customisable functionality, these systems allow you to balance natural and artificial light, protect furniture and plants from heat and optimise energy efficiency. With remote or voice control, you can tailor your home’s environment at the touch of a button, all while seamlessly integrating with smart home technology.
Before you install your track use a stud finder to locate wall studs and ceiling battens (where necessary). If you’re drilling into plaster, use Ramset 10 mm Grip Hollow Wall Anchors to secure the brackets. When drilling into brick, tile or concrete, you’ll need a Masonry drill and appropriate plugs or anchors.
Once you’ve drilled the mounting points, remove the backing from your curtain brackets and screw them to the walls/ceiling using the included screws. You can also choose to nail the brackets into place.
Voice-Controlled Curtain Solutions: Hands-Free Comfort at Home
Click the curtain panels into your track, starting with the outside panels and working your way in for centre opening curtains. If you’re installing a dual track, then connect the secondary arm to the back of your master carrier.
Before you plug in your motor, make sure that the curtain is fully open and check that there aren’t any creases in the fabric. If there are, then use some silicon spray to release the creases and the fabric will lay flat again in no time.
