FITL’s 2012 Spring Fling Rocked the House!
What can I say about Families in the Loop’s March 25th Spring Fling at the gorgeous Lincoln Hall other than… WOW!

It was a family party like I’ve never seen before. We had a smoke machine, the coolest DJ duo I’ve ever seen, delicious food, props, games, a family flash mob led by the stars at All About Dance, killer Bloody Marys, free spa treatments, and stuffed — and I mean really stuffed — swag bags. This Is Your Book, The Handstand Kids Cookbook, generous gift cards to Elizabeth Arden, a ViaCord discount, and — sorry to repeat myself, but I feel I have no choice — a smoke machine. Seriously? Again, the only word that comes to mind is WOW.
I had a feeling that this event, the fifth of Families in the Loop’s popular Brunch & Boogie series, was going to be good, but Spring Fling exceeded even my wildest expectations. Why? Most likely it’s because of the tremendous response we received from the community, from families and businesses alike. Just take a look below at all of the organizations that participated. We received shout-outs from moms groups, Center on Halsted, WGN, Daily Candy, and even the amazing Billy Dec — it felt like the whole town was cheering us on.
