What:Chicago Botanic Garden: “Join farmers, food artisans, and makers of wine, beer, and spirits for a one-of-a-kind meal made with fresh, seasonal ingredients by a local chef, and served family-style in a casual outdoor setting. Farm dinners take place in the beautiful Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden, where guests will not only revel in the surroundings and food, but also learn how the Garden is growing organic. Hear first-hand from Green Youth Farm students about how produce is planted, cultivated, and harvested! Enjoy one-of-a-kind meals prepared with locally grown ingredients by Cleetus Friedman, the talented owner/chef of City Provisions Delicatessen which was awarded 2010 Restaurant of the Year by The Local Beet.
Proceeds from the dinner support the Garden’s Green Youth Farm program, offering students the opportunity to learn all aspects of organic farming.”
