Proceeds from the 2012 Gala support the educational and artistic programs and services provided by The Ruth Page Foundation and its arts center, the Ruth Page Center for the Arts.”
What’s the Ruth Page Foundation all about?
“As a prominent force in the Chicago arts community, The Ruth Page Foundation continues Ms. Page’s proud legacy of dance innovation and excellence. Under the aegis of The Ruth Page Foundation, the Ruth Page Center for the Arts has been a tireless advocate in the education, promotion and presentation of dance in Chicago for over 40 years. This mission has been served by training talented children in one of the finest dance education facilities in the country who go on to be professional dancers; presenting and promoting innovative dance performances throughout the city; mentoring small to mid-sized arts organizations who call The Center home through its Artist In-Residence program; and by providing vital cost-effective performance opportunities and space through the Ruth Page Subsidized Theater Rental Program. Well over 85% of the Foundation’s budget goes directly to support the programs that transform lives through the art of dance.”
