Digital Marketing & Sales Consultant

We’re seeking a dynamic and accomplished part-time Digital Marketing & Sales Consultant.  If you have a strong background in online marketing and sales, deeply understand the urban parent community and want to work in a fun and exciting start-up environment, this is the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Fortify and expand the existing sales relationships across a variety of categories (banners, box ads, e-newsletters, calendar features, etc.)
  • Identify, close, and manage advertising partners
  • Sell online contextual advertising opportunities
  • Develop sales strategies and collateral
  • Manage accounts to achieve individual sales goals as well as team goals
  • Identify and initiate contact with advertising prospects through cold calls, in-person presentations and/or leveraging of existing contact lists
  • Assess customer needs, develop effective sales proposals, negotiate deals, and ensure successful delivery of advertising campaigns
  • Manage all communication, scheduling, and approvals
  • Maintain accounts and deliver superior customer service for all clients
  • Create campaign performance summaries for clients

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of online ad sales experience working with a broad spectrum of accounts in industries such as: Family, Parenting, Health, Entertainment, Arts/Culture, Toys & Play, Style
  • Solid understanding of online advertising and marketing, including pricing structures and media types (banners, skyscrapers, box ads, email newsletters, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate success in developing, maintaining, and growing sound relationships
  • A high degree of self-motivation and the ability work well within an individual and team environment
  • Internet savvy and proficient with office productivity tools (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree
